Vote count in progress

KC had received 476 votes at the time of the update. Dinesh Koirala was third with 295 votes, while Shubharam Basnet had received 97. The figures reflected the count completed so far, not a final result, as ballot counting continued at the party office.

The count placed Acharya ahead of KC among the candidates named in the update. With counting ongoing, the standings could change as further votes were tallied. No final winner had been declared in the information available at the time of reporting.

The reported totals were:

  • Manojmani Acharya: 552 votes
  • Jagdishwar Narasingh KC: 476 votes

Acharya’s lead over KC stood at 76 votes after 1,507 votes had been counted. Koirala was 181 votes behind KC, while Basnet had the lowest total among the four candidates listed in the update.

Counting continues in Sanepa

The vote count was taking place at the Nepali Congress central office in Sanepa, Kathmandu, as part of the party’s 15th General Convention. The available update did not provide a completion time or say how many votes remained to be counted. It also did not announce a final result for the Khas Arya joint general secretary post.

The reported figures therefore represent an interim snapshot of the contest. Acharya led at that stage, followed by KC, Koirala and Basnet, but the outcome remained pending while counting continued.
