Fifteen Dairy Farmers in Tanahun’s Bandipur Honoured for Milk Sales

The Yamphaphat Milk Producers Cooperative has awarded 15 dairy farmers from Yamphaphat in Bandipur Rural Municipality-5, Tanahun, for the volume of milk they sold through the cooperative during the last fiscal year. Pushparaj Paudel, who operates Namuna Gai Farm, ranked first with 89,128 litres, while cooperative chairperson Kashinath Bhattarai placed second with 51,812 litres.

Awards based on cooperative sales

The cooperative said the recognition was determined by the quantity of milk each farmer sold through its collection system over the previous fiscal year. The awards therefore reflect recorded sales through the cooperative, rather than a separate assessment of farm size or total production.

Bhattarai said the cooperative honoured 15 farmers in all. The available details identify Paudel and Bhattarai as the top two ranked participants. Figures for the other award recipients, as well as the specific awards they received, were not provided.

Paudel’s recorded sales amounted to 89,128 litres, giving him first place in the cooperative’s ranking. Bhattarai’s 51,812 litres put him second. The difference between their recorded volumes was 37,316 litres, based on the figures announced by the cooperative.

Recognition for dairy farmers in Yamphaphat

The awards were organised by the local milk producers’ cooperative for farmers in Yamphaphat, within Bandipur Rural Municipality-5. By linking the recognition to sales made through the cooperative, the programme highlighted the farmers’ participation in its milk-marketing channel during the last fiscal year.

The cooperative’s announcement provides a measure of the volume handled through that channel, with the leading farmer’s sales approaching 90,000 litres for the period. The second-place figure also exceeded 50,000 litres. These amounts refer to milk sold through the cooperative, as specified by its chairperson.

The announcement focused on the ranking and the quantities sold by the two leading farmers. It did not provide further information about the timing or format of the awards, the remaining recipients, or the cooperative’s total milk collection during the fiscal year. The recognition nevertheless places Paudel and Bhattarai at the top of the cooperative’s sales list for the period, alongside 13 other farmers who were also honoured.
