Yogendra Chaudhary holds a 923-vote lead

The figures released by the election committee put Yogendra in front in the contest for the Tharu cluster position. He had secured more votes than any other candidate reported in the tally, while Tejulal was in second place with 1,315 votes.

The gap between the two candidates was 923 votes. That margin is based on the 4,460 ballots counted at the time of the latest update. The figures do not represent a final result: vote counting was still underway in Kathmandu.

The count is for a specific representative post within the Nepali Congress’s 15th General Convention. The contest is identified as the vice-general secretary race for the Tharu cluster, rather than a general party-wide leadership vote. The reported tally provides a snapshot of the contest while the election committee continues its count.

Counting continues in Kathmandu

The election committee’s latest figures show the number of votes counted and the totals for the two leading candidates. With counting still in progress, those totals may not reflect all ballots cast in the contest. No final outcome was reported in the figures available at the time of the update.

Yogendra’s lead over Tejulal was clear in the partial count: he had received 923 more votes. The count had reached 4,460 ballots, with Yogendra’s total at 2,238 and Tejulal’s at 1,315. The remaining ballots had yet to be reflected in the tally described by the committee.

The result will be settled through the continuing vote count. Until the election committee completes the process and reports a final tally, the available figures establish only the current standings: Yogendra Chaudhary in the lead, Tejulal Chaudhary next, and a 923-vote difference between them after 4,460 votes were counted.
