Nepali Congress Vice President Vishwaprakash Sharma responded to a social media post by Prime Minister Balendra (Balen) Shah during the closed session of the party’s ongoing 15th General Convention in Kathmandu on Monday.
Sharma said he respects the Prime Minister’s freedom of expression, adding that the Nepali Congress has fought for the democracy that allows everyone to speak. He also said the priority of Shah’s post was not the programme underway at the open forum.
Sharma urges focus on disaster victims and climate change
Sharma suggested that Shah focus on people affected by floods and landslides, as well as climate change.
The response came as the Nepali Congress held its 15th General Convention in Kathmandu.
