Former President Vidya Devi Bhandari has returned to active politics in the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist), or UML, after 11 years. Her return marks a formal comeback to party politics after completing two terms as president.
On Thursday, Bhandari took an oath as a senior leader at the UML party office in Chyasal. She then joined a meeting of the party’s standing committee.
