Vidwan Gurung, former president of Nepal Tarun Dal and a youth leader of the Nepali Congress, has filed his candidacy for an open central member position in the party’s 15th general convention.
Speaking at a programme in Kathmandu, Gurung said he was contesting with a resolve to give the country a new direction and strengthen the party.
Gurung’s candidacy for the central committee
Gurung is seeking election to one of the Nepali Congress’s open central member posts. His candidacy was reported on October 6 and 7, 2026.
The report on Gurung’s candidacy quoted him as saying he wants to help give the country a new direction and make the party stronger.
