Two overhead bridges for monkeys are planned in forested areas between Kawasoti and Lakaha, and Chormara and Arunkhola, along the Narayanghat-Butwal Highway.

Two More Monkey Canopy Bridges Planned on Narayanghat-Butwal Highway

Two additional canopy bridges are planned along the Narayanghat-Butwal section of the East-West Highway to help monkeys cross the road safely. The crossings are planned in forested areas of Nawalparasi East.

The proposed suspension bridges will be located between Kawasoti and Lakaha, and between Chormara and Arunkhola. Preparations are underway, according to Shiva Khanal.

The new crossings are planned on the highway's four-lane section, which was expanded under Asian Highway standards. The plans were reported by Khabarhub and myRepublica.
