The Nepal National Transport Entrepreneurs' Association has urged transport operators not to charge passengers more than the government-fixed fare during the festival season. The association warned that vehicles found charging above the set rate will face action.
Association General Secretary Dekanath Gautam said the warning applies to all concerned as passengers prepare to travel for the festivals.
Advance ticket booking for Dashain
The government has decided to open advance ticket booking for passenger vehicles nationwide from Ashoj 23 for this year's Dashain. The association's warning calls on operators to observe the official fare during the busy travel period.
