Tourism Bodies Agree to Form Nepal Tourism Federation

Tourism sector organizations have agreed to form a common umbrella body named the Nepal Tourism Federation. The proposal was advanced at a presidential breakfast meeting on Sunday at Hotel Moonlight in Paknajol, Kathmandu.

The meeting was chaired by Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) President Sagar Pandey and brought together heads and representatives of major tourism institutions. Participants discussed current problems in the tourism sector, institutional reform and the need for a shared private-sector agenda.

Tourism organizations discuss a common platform

The federation is proposed as a shared platform for tourism organizations. The meeting focused on bringing the sector’s institutions together around common priorities and addressing challenges affecting tourism.
