Construction of the Damouli-Bharatpur 220 kV double-circuit transmission line for the 140 MW Tanahun Hydropower Project has reached about 82 percent completion, project chief Shyamji Bhandari said.
The 35-kilometre line is being built for the hydropower project in Rishing Rural Municipality-1, Tanahun. Foundations have been completed for 83 of the line’s 94 towers, and 80 towers have been erected.
Forest permission speeds up construction
Work on the transmission line gained pace after permission was granted to enter forest areas and fell trees, according to Bhandari.
The project is developing the line between Damouli and Bharatpur to transmit power from the Tanahun Hydropower Project.
