The 140-megawatt Tanahun Hydropower Project has completed 78 percent of its physical work, with progress reported across all three project packages. The project is under construction at Jhaputar in Rishing Rural Municipality-1, Tanahun district.
Progress across three packages
The project is divided into three packages covering its main infrastructure and transmission works:
- Package 1: Headworks, including the dam
- Package 2: Main tunnel, powerhouse and related equipment
- Package 3: The Damouli-Bharatpur 220 kV transmission line
Progress has been reported across all three packages as construction continues.
