The Supreme Court has directed the Office of the Chief Attorney of Sudurpashchim Province to submit a written reply to a certiorari petition filed against the provincial government over its budget.
A single bench of Justice Mahesh Sharma Poudel issued the order during a preliminary hearing on the petition filed by advocate Maniram Upadhyay. The court gave the office 15 days to respond, excluding the travel period.
Court seeks grounds for reply
The order asks the Office of the Chief Attorney to state the grounds and reasons for whether the order sought in the petition should be issued.
