The Nepalgunj branch of the Food Management and Trading Company Limited (FMTCL) has started selling rice at subsidised rates ahead of Dashain, Tihar and Chhath.
The sales centre is offering a discount of Rs 500 per quintal on all types of rice, information officer Shivraj Ghimire said. It aims to sell 100 quintals during the festival period.
