The Special Court has convicted Vikal Poudel, former executive director of the Security Printing Centre, in a corruption case involving the illegal accumulation of property. The court sentenced him to two years and six months in prison and imposed a fine of Rs 41,947,328.
The case was filed by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA). The court also ordered the confiscation of property equal to the amount involved in the case.
