Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has said Nepal’s Federal Parliament has not become weak, insisting that it continues to function in a strong and effective manner.
Speaking at a news conference at Singha Durbar in Kathmandu on October 2, Aryal said there had been no decline in Parliament’s dignity, pace of work or accountability. He made the remarks as the budget session of the House of Representatives concluded.
Aryal says Parliament remains effective
Aryal rejected the view that the Federal Parliament had weakened. He said its work and accountability remained intact, along with the institution’s dignity.
The remarks came at a news conference marking the conclusion of the House of Representatives’ budget session.
