The seven-day Skill and Employment Fair 2083 opened in Itahari, Sunsari, on Wednesday under the theme “Skill and Employment: A Shared Responsibility.” The fair is organised by the Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment and will run until Ashoj 20.
The event features 65 stalls, with industries and establishments seeking more than 6,000 workers.
Calls to turn skills into jobs
Speaker of the House of Representatives Dol Prasad Aryal inaugurated the fair and said skills must be converted into employment without delay.
Koshi Province Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki also addressed the event, stressing cooperation between the government and the private sector to support development, prosperity and job creation.
