Six construction companies contracted for road works along the Karnali Highway have been blacklisted for violating their contractual obligations, according to the Public Procurement Monitoring Office.
The firms had been hired to build and upgrade roads along the highway, as well as to maintain roads connecting Jumla with the districts of Manang and Mustang. The office took action following recommendations and reports from the concerned road authorities.

The Public Procurement Monitoring Office acted after receiving reports and recommendations from the authorities responsible for the roads. The companies were blacklisted over their failure to meet contractual obligations.
The action concerns contracts covering construction and upgrades on the Karnali Highway and maintenance of roads connecting Jumla with Manang and Mustang.
