Shankar Tiwari announced on Sunday morning in Kathmandu that he will contest for the post of General Secretary at the Nepali Congress's 15th General Convention. The youth leader made the announcement at a press conference.
Tiwari said he is contesting on an ideological basis, with the aim of protecting and transforming the party's thinking. He also said his candidacy is intended to strengthen party President Gagan Thapa.
