Government spokesperson and Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel has defended Prime Minister Balen Shah’s social media remark concerning Khulamanch and the Nepali Congress’s 15th convention, saying the comment cannot be described as “trivial.”
Speaking to journalists in Kathmandu after Monday’s cabinet meeting, Pokharel said Shah was referring only to the Khulamanch he built while serving as mayor.
What Pokharel said
Pokharel said the Prime Minister’s comment should be understood in that context. He rejected the characterization of the remark as trivial as controversy continued over Shah’s social media post about Khulamanch and the Nepali Congress convention.
