Sarvaraj Joshi has been appointed Chief Attorney of the Karnali Province government and took the oath of office and secrecy on Monday. Hari Prasad Bhandari, Chief Judge of the Surkhet High Court, administered the oath.
Joshi is a lawyer from Narayan Municipality-1 in Dailekh. As Chief Attorney, he will provide legal advice and counsel to the provincial government, represent it in court and handle legal matters related to the province.
Responsibilities of the Karnali Chief Attorney
The Chief Attorney serves as the provincial government's legal adviser and representative. Joshi's duties include:
- Providing legal advice and counsel to the Karnali Province government
- Representing the government in court
- Handling legal matters related to the province
