Route permits will remain open nationwide from Ghatasthapana to Kojagrat Purnima to make it easier for passengers to travel during the Dashain festival, the government has decided.
The decision was taken at a meeting on Tuesday at the Department of Transport Management. Representatives of Nepal Police, traffic police, transport entrepreneurs and other stakeholders attended the meeting.
Route permits during Dashain
The nationwide arrangement will run for the Dashain period, beginning on Ghatasthapana and ending on Kojagrat Purnima. Ghatasthapana, which marks the start of Dashain, falls on October 11 this year.
