Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chairman Ravi Lamichhane appeared at the Kathmandu District Court in Babarmahal on Friday afternoon to mark his date, or tarekh, in a cooperative fraud case.
The case involves funds from Swarnalaxmi Cooperative in Kalimati that were allegedly diverted to Gorkha Media. The court had previously ordered Lamichhane to post Rs 6 million in bail, which he deposited on the same day.
Bail and related cases
A Kaski District Court had earlier demanded Rs 6.5 million in bail in a related case. Lamichhane’s cases in five districts remain under consideration in court.
