Nepali Congress Vice President Pushpa Bhusal has said the party’s 15th General Convention should be more than a forum for choosing leaders and distributing posts. She called on the party to use the gathering to review its future and democratic ideology.
Speaking at the convention’s opening session on Sunday at Khulamanch in Kathmandu, Bhusal said the party should assess its current position and chart a path ahead. She also urged it to take new energy from the gathering, connect with party workers in villages and strengthen its commitment to inclusiveness.
Bhusal calls for reflection and renewal
Bhusal said the convention should help the Nepali Congress examine where it stands and decide how it will move forward. Her remarks framed the gathering as an opportunity for broader reflection, rather than a process focused only on leadership selection and posts.
She also emphasized reaching party workers across villages and making the party more inclusive as it looks to the future.
