President Paudel Issues Disaster-Related Ordinance to Amend Nepal Laws

President Ram Chandra Paudel issued the Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Disaster, 2083 on Friday, following a recommendation from the Council of Ministers under Article 114(1) of the Constitution of Nepal.

The President’s Office confirmed the issuance in a statement by spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Shahi. The ordinance seeks to amend an existing legal provision under which a missing citizen could be declared dead only after 12 years.
