Police in Rautahat district have arrested 37 people convicted in various cases by the Rautahat District Court who had been absconding, authorities said.
The arrests were made as part of a special campaign to enforce court verdicts. Teams from the District Police Office Rautahat and its subordinate offices were deployed for the operation.
The arrested defendants face a combined seven years, two months and 27 days of imprisonment, along with fines totaling Rs 200,000.
