Pokhara Airports Ban Kites, Drones, Balloons and Laser Lights

Authorities have prohibited the flying of kites, drones and balloons, as well as the use of laser lights, in areas around Pokhara International Airport and the old Pokhara Airport, citing risks to flight safety.

The Pokhara International Airport Civil Aviation Office said these activities can seriously affect the safety of flights. Airport chief Jagnnath Niraula said the public had been informed of the restriction.

Strict action for violations

Authorities warned that anyone who violates the notice will face strict action under existing law. The restriction applies to activities near both Pokhara International Airport and the old Pokhara Airport.
