Deposits across accounts of the Prime Minister's Natural Disaster Relief Fund and the Prime Minister's Relief Fund have surpassed Rs 17 billion following the flood in the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa, according to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
The total stood at Rs 17 billion 6 crore 80 lakh 41 thousand 464 as of 8:00 pm on Wednesday. Donations to the funds have continued to come in after the flood.
Government disburses Rs 1 billion
The government has already released Rs 1 billion from the fund for areas affected by the flood. The deposits figure represents the combined amount across various accounts of the two funds, according to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
