The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has arrested nine more construction entrepreneurs in connection with the alleged hacking and manipulation of the government's online bidding system, police said in Kathmandu.
The arrests were made during a second phase of the investigation into unauthorized access to the Public Procurement Monitoring Office website, bolpatra.com.np. Bids were allegedly manipulated after the site was accessed without authorization.

The case concerns alleged interference with the government's online procurement process. The CIB's latest arrests add nine construction entrepreneurs to those facing action in the case.
Earlier, 22 people, including contractors, hackers and government employees, were charged in connection with the same case.
