The Nepali Congress spent Rs 45,939,041 to rebuild, repair and furnish its central office in Kathmandu after the building was damaged during the Gen Z movement, according to a financial report presented at the party’s 15th general convention.
Party treasurer Umesh Shrestha presented the report during the convention’s closed session. It covers expenses incurred after the office was damaged on Bhadra 23 and 24, 2082 BS.
Reconstruction expenses
The reported expenditure of more than Rs 45.9 million was used for the reconstruction of the party’s central office. The report included costs for rebuilding, repairs and furnishing the premises.
