Nepali Congress Passes Amended Statute, Sets Central Committee at 297 Members

The Nepali Congress has passed its amended statute during the closed session on the second day of its 15th general convention at Khulamanch in Kathmandu. General Secretary Pradip Paudel presented the amendment, which was approved by the session.

According to party spokesperson Devraj Chalise, the central committee will have 297 members. The revised structure adds the post of senior vice-chairperson.

Nepali Congress central committee structure

The 297-member central committee will include:

  • One chairperson
  • One senior vice-chairperson
  • Four vice-chairpersons, with at least one woman
  • Three general secretaries
