Party president Gagan Thapa presented Shrestha with a certificate at the ceremony. Shrestha, 94, is from Tamghas in Gulmi.
Shrestha joined the Nepali Congress on 26 Chaitra 2007 BS, when he was 18. He received his party membership from then president Matrikaprasad Koirala.
