The Nepali Congress is set to open its 15th Central General Convention in Kathmandu on Sunday, with the opening ceremony scheduled for 2 pm at Khulamanch on 18 Ashoj. Around 7,700 delegates are expected to take part, party spokesperson Devraj Chalise said.
Preparations for the convention are in their final stage. The party has set the delegate fee at Rs 3,500 and urged candidates to keep their campaigns environmentally friendly.
Preparations and convention process
Most convention tiers outside the districts have already been completed, although rainfall affected some of them. The party is now completing preparations for the central gathering in Kathmandu.
The convention will bring together approximately 7,700 delegates, according to Chalise. The opening ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2 pm at Khulamanch.
