The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is set to install and operate traditional linge ping swings at tourist destinations across Nepal during the Dashain festival. The initiative aims to connect Nepal’s traditional culture and festivities with tourism promotion.
The board’s Tourism Heritage and Tourism Development Division will carry out the project in collaboration with local governments and tourism-related organisations.
Traditional swings and tourism promotion
Linge ping swings are a traditional feature of Dashain celebrations. By making them available at tourist destinations during the festival, the NTB aims to bring cultural festivities and tourism together.
The planned installations will take place at destinations across the country, with local governments and tourism-related organisations working alongside the board.
