Nepal Prepares New Procedure for Elderly Day Service Centres

The Ministry of Women, Children, Gender and Social Minorities and Social Security has prepared the Procedure Related to Operation/Establishment of Elderly Day Service Centres in Local Levels, 2083. The framework aims to support older people through local-level services focused on care, health and social participation.

Under the procedure, elderly day service centres will be established and operated at local levels. They are intended to serve older people who feel lonely at home and promote a dignified life for elderly people in their communities.
