Communication and Information Technology Minister Dr. Vikram Timilsina has said the government’s plan to develop the postal service into a modern, effective and citizen-friendly government courier service is being implemented effectively.
Timilsina made the remarks at a philatelic exhibition in Kathmandu organized by the Department of Postal Service to mark the 152nd World Post Day. He said the postal service needs to be restructured to keep pace with changing times and meet citizens’ needs.

The government’s stated aim is to reshape postal services as a more accessible and effective courier option for the public. Timilsina emphasized that adapting the service to changing circumstances and public expectations is necessary.
