Nepal Issues Autumn 2026 Climbing Permits to 788 Climbers for 31 Peaks

Nepal has issued climbing permits to 788 climbers from 70 countries for 31 Himalayan peaks during the autumn 2026 season, according to the Department of Tourism. The climbers are part of 91 expedition teams.

The permit holders include 582 men and 206 women. Department information officer Suraj Ghimire said the department collected Rs 247.21 in permit fees.

Autumn climbing season in Nepal

The figures reflect the number of climbers who have received permits for Nepal’s autumn mountaineering season. The teams will attempt climbs across 31 peaks in the Himalayas.
