Nepal imported 543 tonnes of fruit from China through the northern Korala border crossing in Mustang over an 11-day period, according to the quarantine office at Lomanthang-4, Nhechung.
Technical assistant Bandana Ghartimagar said the imports followed heavy rain and snowfall. The shipment included 87.300 tonnes of apples, 16.100 tonnes of mangoes and 8.316 tonnes of dragon fruit. The fruit entered Nepal through the Korala crossing.
