Information and Communications Minister Dr Bikram Timilsina said the government is effectively implementing plans to make Nepal’s postal service modern, effective and citizen-friendly, and to develop it as a government courier service.
He made the remarks in Kathmandu on October 9 at a philatelic exhibition organised by the Department of Postal Services to mark the 152nd World Post Day. Timilsina said the government’s programme was being carried out through the postal service.
Postal service plans
The plan aims to strengthen the postal service’s role as a government courier while improving its effectiveness and accessibility for citizens. The minister said the initiative was being implemented effectively.
