The Nepal Communist Party (Nekpa) will set a new schedule for its general convention after the local-level elections, after concluding that the gathering cannot be held in Mangsir as previously planned.
The party had earlier decided to hold the convention in Kathmandu from Mangsir 11 to 15. That schedule has now been affected, and the party is expected to discuss the convention at an upcoming meeting of its Central Working Coordination Committee.
Party meeting called for the 23rd
Party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has called the committee meeting for the 23rd at 11 am at the party's central office in Parisdanda.
According to party spokesperson Prakash Jwala, the meeting will discuss current political developments and the party's general convention.
