Nepal has asked Malaysia to remove 25 Nepali foreign employment companies from the Foreign Worker Centralized Management System (FWCMS), amid a dispute over how Nepali recruitment agencies are listed in the system.
Malaysia designated 25 Nepali companies as “principal” agencies and another 250 as “supporting” agencies for recruiting Nepali workers. The Department of Foreign Employment instructed all 275 listed companies to withdraw their names. The firms have objected, asking the government to resolve the matter through diplomatic coordination with Malaysia.
