Domestic airlines have agreed to sell air tickets below approved fare rates during the upcoming festival season, following complaints that domestic fares had risen excessively.
The agreement was reached at a discussion held Thursday in Kathmandu by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) with officials and representatives of domestic airlines.
Agreement follows government directive
The meeting followed a directive from Prime Minister Balendra Shah, widely known as Balen, and an initiative by Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadgaraj Paudel, also known as Ganesh.
