The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced scheduled power cuts in parts of the Kathmandu Valley for 12 days, from Ashoj 15 to 26. The outages will take place daily from 10 am to 3 pm in areas served by the Kuleshwor, Baneshwor, Jorpati and Kirtipur distribution centres.
The NEA said the interruptions are needed to carry out work on the underground electricity distribution system and other technical tasks. The work is also intended to help manage electricity demand during the winter.
Power cuts planned for 10 am to 3 pm
The scheduled interruptions will affect various areas covered by the four distribution centres. Power supply is expected to be cut during the five-hour daily window while the underground line work and related tasks are carried out.
Residents and businesses in the affected service areas should plan for the outages from Ashoj 15 through Ashoj 26.
