National ID Card Mandatory for Health Insurance from December 16

The Health Insurance Board has decided to make a National ID card mandatory for citizens aged 16 and above participating in the health insurance program from December 16, corresponding to Poush 1.

The requirement will apply to new enrollments, renewals, and access to health insurance services. Insured families will need to provide a National ID card for these purposes.

Who needs a National ID card?

Citizens aged 16 and above will need a National ID card to:

  • Enroll in the health insurance program
  • Renew their health insurance
  • Access health insurance services

The requirement takes effect on December 16 (Poush 1).
