A joint market monitoring campaign in Morang inspected 74 business firms in Biratnagar and surrounding market areas, fining 29 of them a total of Rs 692,000 for violating various rules. The campaign also sealed three medicine shops.
The monitoring was led by the District Administration Office, Morang, in coordination with Biratnagar Metropolitan City. It was carried out ahead of the upcoming festival season.

Officials inspected businesses in Biratnagar and nearby market areas as part of the joint campaign. Of the 74 firms monitored, 29 were found to have violated rules and were fined a combined Rs 692,000.
The campaign also resulted in the sealing of three medicine shops.
