Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Khadka Raj Poudel has announced that the runway at Tarigaun Airport in Dang will be expanded to 1,400 meters within two years.
Poudel made the announcement after inspecting the airport on Wednesday. Tarigaun Airport is located in Ward 12 of Tulsippur Sub-Metropolitan City.
Runway expansion plan
The minister’s announcement sets a two-year timeframe for expanding the airport runway to 1,400 meters. No further details about the project were included in the announcement.
The inspection followed a program organized by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in Tulsippur.
