Agriculture, Forest and Environment Minister Gita Chaudhary said the ministry is working seriously to improve the management of both chemical and organic fertilizers.
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives’ Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee at Singhadurbar on Thursday, Chaudhary said various committees are working to streamline the supply of chemical fertilizer and prepare a clear working procedure for organic fertilizer.
Work on fertilizer management
The minister said the committees are addressing two areas of fertilizer management:
- Streamlining the supply of chemical fertilizer.
- Preparing a clear working procedure for organic fertilizer.
Chaudhary also said the government is advancing policy preparations to connect the agriculture and forest sectors with industry and markets.
