Agriculture, Forest and Environment Minister Gita Chaudhary has directed concerned bodies to ensure sugarcane farmers receive their production subsidies before Dashain.
Speaking at a meeting at the ministry on Friday, Chaudhary said the payment procedure for the sugarcane production subsidy had already been approved. She instructed officials to ensure the money reaches farmers before the festival.
Minister stresses timely payments
Chaudhary said farmers should receive the subsidy on time and that there should be no delay in the payment process.
