Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Gita Chaudhary has called for greater use of bio and organic fertilizers, saying they are important for protecting soil fertility and increasing agricultural production.
Speaking at a Lumbini Province-level orientation on the subsidized fertilizer information system in Rupandehi on Friday, Chaudhary warned that excessive use of chemical fertilizers is harmful.
Policy preparations on chemical fertilizer management
Chaudhary said the government is moving forward with policy preparations related to chemical fertilizer management. She stressed the need to promote bio and organic alternatives alongside efforts to support agricultural production.
