Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam has said legal stability is essential to creating an investment-friendly environment and promoting development in Nepal.
She made the remarks in Kathmandu on October 2 while speaking at a workshop titled “Legal Reforms for Investment and Development.” The event was organised by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport in connection with the Nepal Infrastructure Summit.
Confidence in agreements
Gautam said investors should be confident that agreements will be implemented even when the government changes. Such confidence, alongside stable laws, is important for encouraging investment and supporting development, according to her remarks at the workshop.
