The Manakamana Cable Car will remain closed for one day on Tuesday as the operator carries out regular maintenance of its towers and stations ahead of the festival season.
The cable car runs between Kurintar in Chitwan and the Manakamana Temple in Gorkha. Manakamana Darshan Pvt. Ltd. issued a notice informing passengers of the temporary closure.
Reason for the closure
Ujjwal Sherchan, deputy general manager of Manakamana Darshan Pvt. Ltd., said the service is being halted for routine maintenance work at the cable car’s towers and stations.
